For my imitation assignment I chose Erwin Blumenfeld, one of the most influential fashion photographers in the 40s and 50s. I thought his work with transparent objects and reflection to highlight his subject was inspiring and beautiful. In my shoot with my dear friend Mary, I attempted to use some of his techniques (read: transparent scarf) to create photographs that embodied Erwin Blumenfeld"s work but I didn"t try to recreate a specific photograph. Here is one of his most famous pictures of Audrey Hepburn and a few of my best shots. Enjoy!
